Peace and Inclusion: Two Pillars for a Better Future

Today, peace and inclusion are the foundations on which we build a just and equitable society. In a world where differences can lead to divisions, it is essential to foster an environment in which all individuals, regardless of their abilities or backgrounds, feel valued and respected. At the Fundación Letty Coppel, we understand the importance of these values and actively work to incorporate them into our programs and projects.

On September 21st, we commemorate the International Day of Peace and recognize it as a fundamental human right.

Peace as the Foundation of Social Development

Peace not only means the absence of conflict but also the presence of justice, respect, and mutual understanding. It is a state where human rights are protected and promoted, and where people can coexist harmoniously, overcoming their differences.

Through various social programs, the Fundación Letty Coppel promotes peace by creating spaces where every person feels safe, respected, and valued. From self-employment workshops to social assistance in Mexico that celebrates diversity, we foster an environment where inclusion becomes a daily reality.

Inclusion: The Key to an Equitable Society

Inclusion is essential for building a society where everyone can participate fully. It is about creating an environment where every person, regardless of race, gender, ability, or socioeconomic status, can access the same opportunities and resources. At the Fundación Letty Coppel, we aim to promote inclusion through specific programs that support people with disabilities, minorities, and those in vulnerable situations, ensuring that no one is left behind.

We also work to ensure that people with mobility issues have access to wheelchairs, orthopedic devices, and other technical aids, enabling them to live a full life and actively participate in society. Additionally, we promote awareness about the importance of accessibility and inclusion, working to remove physical and social barriers.

At the Fundación Letty Coppel, we understand that peace is built through concrete and sustainable actions. From providing food packages for the elderly to supporting cancer treatment, our approach is comprehensive and always seeks to improve the quality of life for those in greatest need.

Promoting Peace through Education

Our commitment to inclusion extends to providing scholarships in Mexico so that more young people can access education and, in turn, contribute to the development of their communities.

Our work with youth ensures that children perform well in school through programs like school breakfasts, which ensure that students start their day with the energy and nutrition needed to learn and grow properly.

We also recognize that education is a powerful tool for instilling values of peace from an early age. The foundation organizes workshops and educational activities in the schools of the communities we serve, teaching young people the importance of empathy, non-violent communication, and conflict resolution. These programs help children and young people develop life skills that prepare them to become responsible and peaceful citizens.

It is through the union of these efforts that we can truly make a difference. For this reason, we work together with other foundations in Mexico to create a positive and lasting impact on our communities.

By promoting an environment of respect and acceptance, the foundation not only contributes to the immediate well-being of individuals but also lays the groundwork for a future where everyone has the opportunity to thrive in peace and harmony.

In an increasingly interconnected world, it is vital that organizations and individuals work together to foster peace and inclusion, ensuring that every person, regardless of their origin or ability, can live with dignity and respect.

Together, we are making a difference.
