On October 16th, The Letty Coppel Foundation, in celebration of World Food Day, hosted a gastronomical sampling of food made from soybeans, in the elementary school Colonia Federal Democracies Urias in Mazatlan, Sinaloa. Certificates were also presented to mothers that had participated in a nutrition course.
The School Director, Professor Aureliano Pineapple Tirado welcomed everyone to the event and also thanked the Letty Coppel Foundation for the monthly food delivery program that provides 200 daily breakfasts for the children.
Engineer Benjamin Villela Lizárraga, Director of DIF, said that the result of the school breakfast program has been excellent and, thanks to the help of organizations such as the Letty Coppel Foundation, it is now possible to reach out to more students.
At the end of the event students, teachers and visitors enjoyed the variety of dishes made from soybeans, which were prepared with care by mothers who are part of the school lunchroom committee.
