On 2 April, the municipal DIF announced the start of the campaign XV cleft lip surgeries and ocular prostheses plus ear. The campaign will take place from 25 to 28 May.
This campaign is available and accessible to poor people, who will have access to these surgeries for free. The hospital of the interventions will be the Municipal Hospital “Margarita Maza de Juárez” and the development of the ocular prosthesis is the North American University.
This campaign involves eleven maxillofacial surgeons, of which 10 of them belong to the Extramural Surgery Program who also will attend 8 UNAM prosthetic eyes and ears of the same university.
Letty Coppel Foundation participates again in this campaign, which will help low-income children to improve their quality of life.
